THE Wycombe Charity Carnival Committee are keeping their fingers crossed. Rod Barber, Chairman of the Community Services Committee of The Rotary Club of High Wycombe, attended their monthly committee meeting last week to find out more about what is involved in staging this important event on Sunday, May 5. He will report back to his committee to see if they are prepared to help.

JEMMA makes it a double and for the second year running Year 5 pupil Jemma Leslie (9), of Pipers Corner School, has won the Rotary Club's Christmas Story Competition. Her tale revolves around an agnostic squirrel who muses philosophically on the meaning of the Christmas celebration.
