CONGRATULATIONS go to Courtney East, Sophie Parker and Samantha Bolt for organising a Blue Peter Sale at Great Kingshill School last week. They raised £343.05 for the Blue Peter appeal on behalf of Help the Aged.

AT the latest meeting of the Hughenden Valley Residents Association, Ian Cunningham, Bucks County Council Highways Maintenance Officer for the Wycombe Area, faced questions from the residents about the flooding and pollution last year and what has been done since to avoid a repetition.

There was good news for the residents of the top end of Warrendene Road, where action will be taken to pipe away water held back by the roadway, but only if money is made available for the work.

He did come under pressure to accept the views of residents between Boss Lane and the Surgery that the piping in place at present is incapable of dealing with sudden excess water.

CHILDREN'S Disco at the Village Hall this evening is from 6pm to 7.30pm, for seven to ten year olds. It is run by the fundraising committee and costs £2.50.
