CONGRATULATIONS to Stokenchurch 1st Brownies whose January show and concert raised £140 for the children's charity Whizz Kids. They put on a fantastic evening of singing, dancing and a performance of Snow White and the Seven Brownies, written for the occasion by Brown Owl, Kirsty Bottomley.
STUDLEY Green Community Centre continues to put on enjoyable events - the last one was in celebration of the Chinese New Year with excellent food, a great band and a wonderful party atmosphere.
JUNIOR Football Club continues to flourish with around 150 members. Teams varying from Under 9 to Under 15 age groups play most weeks.
However help is vitally needed as the current club secretary Sally Stretton is retiring this year. She is anxious to recruit a successor to be in place for next season.
The job would be rewarding for anyone with an interest in maintaining Stokenchurch's tradition of running football teams, whether a parent of one of the players or a newly retired person. Please ring Sally on 01494 711618.
