LANDLORD Alfie Molinaro is offering top tips for lovers on Valentine's Day so that the food of love does not end up all down your front.

Mr Molinaro, landlord of the White Hart, in Aylesbury End, Beaconsfield, serves up some Dos and Don'ts to help the course of love run smoothly.

He said: "Some people still seem to need a little well-aimed advice to make the most of this special evening."

His list of Don'ts includes not proposing in public - he says it only works on television - and not forgetting that landlords are trained every day in relationship guidance.

His list of Dos for dining out include getting a seat by the fire, choosing food that won't end up on your lap or round your mouth such as spaghetti and sharing a pudding on a romantic meal out.

He added that at the White Hart they would be offering complimentary chocolates to diners choosing certain wines on Valentine's Day.

Mr Molinaro said: "The White Hart has a good record for hosting celebrations like this. Last year we put specially scented candles on the tables and this year we will lay on a few extras too."
