BUDDING author Jemma Leslie has a way with words which has scooped her a prize for the second time in a story competition.
Nine-year-old Jemma, from Pipers Corner School, won the Rotary Club's Christmas Story Competition for the second year running.
The tale she told was of an agnostic squirrel and the squirrels' philosophical musings on the nature of Christmas.
In the same competition last year she won with a story of a puppy that was bought on Christmas Eve.
A teacher at the school, Chris Arckless said it was not the first time Jemma's way with words had won prizes.
"She won the school's annual talent contest for singing a rendition of Don't Cry for Me Argentina and she also took the school's public speaking prize last year," she said.
