THE search is still on for the owner of a rare brass commemorative medal found by a lady as she walked her dogs in a secluded park.
Dog-lover Valerie Dickeson believes someone out there must be missing the precious medal awarded by the Royal Academy of Music in 1929.
Mrs Dickeson, of Totteridge Lane, High Wycombe, was playing fetch with her three dogs, Lunar, Todd and Cassie in Bowerdean Recreation Ground, High Wycombe, on Friday when she noticed a shiny object under her feet.
She said: "The dogs were bringing me back a ball I had thrown for them when I noticed the reflection of it laying there in the grass."
A busy morning in the Chalfonts sometime around 1930 as mums rush about getting their affairs in order. The lady pushing the pram is certainly in a hurry going at such speed that she dare not use the footpath. A 'danger school' sign hangs outside one store. But what street is this and what school are they referring to? Perhaps you recognise yourself? If you have any information e-mail Memories Reporter Michelle Fleming by clicking her byline above.
