IT is just beyond belief that health chiefs are still considering closing the Wycombe Breast Screening unit when hundreds of women have protested against the move.
Surely the opinion of the women who have benefited from the unit, indeed said the unit saved their lives, counts for something.
Buckinghamshire Health Authority may have carried out a public consultation on plans to axe one or two of the units at Wycombe, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes, but the response just seems to have fallen on deaf ears.
