An organisation which promotes the economic development of the Thames Valley has appointed a new chief executive.
Shaun Whittaker joins Thames Valley Economic Partnership (TVEP) with 20 years' experience in regional economic development in England, Wales and Australia.
TVEP, a private-public sector organisation based in Slough, was set up in 1994 to reinstate the Thames Valley among Europe's top 20 regions.
Its members include most local authorities, universities and colleges in the area plus more than 50 firms.
It aims to help companies moving into the area and recently has become increasingly involved in the strategic issues facing the Thames Valley, such as sustaining economic growth.
