GRAHAM Roberts returns to Chesham with his Slough Town outfit tomorrow, for the first time since he quit the Meadow last October.

He walked out to join the Berkshire club and his replacement at the Meadow, former Wimbledon hero Alan Cork, has got the team running into form with two wins in the last two games as the pair go head-to-head in the Ryman League's game of the day.

But Corky faces a battle to be fit. He has been knocked out by the flu but it won't stop him being there.

And he will be joined in the dug-out by a new assistant. He has appointed Laurie Craker, the former manager of Walton and Hersham to the post that became vacant following the sacking of Francis Jospeh.

United chairman David Pembroke said: "He's an excellent appointment for the club, he's a winner."

With United now having sorted their dug-out problems it is full steam ahead for Roberts return.

The manner of Robbo's departure from the Meadow, and the fact that he then came back to take players Mickey Engwell and Dean Chandler with him, means that the fixture is fast catching up the Aylesbury game for grudge value.

And those matches are just to Chesham's liking as they proved with their recent 3-0 win at leaders Aylesbury when no-one gave them a chance.

While Roberts has gone on record this week as saying "it is just another game" and United have responded with "We need three points just like any other game, Graham Roberts and his players will get the same welcome every team gets here," there is clearly more at stake.

Engwell is back in contention following last week's suspension while Chandler did not play last week.

United have no fresh injury worries and are free from suspensions. Pat Jennings, son of his famous father Pat the former Arsenal and Tottenham goalkeeper, is expected to again be between the sticks as the other choice, Ken Addai, is ruled out with the broken finger he sustained at Aylesbury.

Last week Chesham beat Carshalton 3-0 but they had to wait until their opponents' goalkeeper was sent off to show their superiority.

Andy Harris was red carded for a tackle on John Lawford as the Chesham striker went one-on-one with the keeper. Lawford missed the resultant penalty but it didn't matter as Sammy Winston, Nas Bashir and Youness Nabil scored.
