Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet Street, is to be staged by Amersham & Wycombe College’s BA Musical Theatre students at the Elgiva Theatre, Chesham throughout May 2010.
Stephen Sondheim’s tale of revenge and love set against the gothic background of Victorian London is one of the most acclaimed musicals of all time. Recently filmed by Tim Burton and produced from Broadway to London the show, which is a major performance for final year musical theatre students, promises to be a theatrical event not to be missed.
Performance take place on 19th May 7.30pm, 20th May 7.30pm, 21st May 2.30pm, 21st May 7.30pm, 22nd May 2.30pm, and 22nd May 7.30pm.
