WYCOMBE train passengers were delayed following the horrific train crash in Berkshire on Saturday.
Six people were killed when a train hit a car on a level crossing near Ufton Nervet in Berkshire. A seventh person died in hospital the next day.
Commuter Nasser Hashmi, of High Wycombe, was on his way back from London to Wycombe on Saturday when he found the 10.33pm train from Paddington to Aylesbury was cancelled.
Usually the train goes from Wycombe to Marylebone but on Saturday, trains were going to Paddington.
Mr Hashmi said: "It was very chaotic. There were hundreds of people sitting in the wrong trains because the platform numbers were wrong. But I suppose it's understandable in the circumstances."
A spokesman for Chiltern Railways confirmed the delays were caused by the accident in Berkshire.
