KING of the sausages Graham Hall has struck gold with more sizzling successes.
The Hazlemere butcher came through the judges' grilling at the Q-Butchers biennial awards to triumph over 112 entries with his pork and Marmite bangers.
And Hall's butchers, in Park Parade, proved they were a cut above the rest by winning six gold awards, a silver and a bronze to add to the overall diamond award for top nosh.
He said: "We're obviously ecstatic. It's just great news for everyone here. Within the Guild of Q Butchers there is a wealth of imagination, innovation and supreme quality, and we're proud to be members. From what we've heard the standard of product was even higher than two years ago, so to win a diamond award is a fantastic achievement."
Viewed by many in the meat industry as the most prestigious competition, the awards attract butchers across the country.
