I READ with interest the article on parking in High Wycombe on page 2 of the Bucks Free Press last Friday.

Some months ago I witnessed a car parked on a single yellow line and noticed a warden taking a photograph and issuing a ticket.

He issued another ticket about three days later so I asked him why it was not being towed away.

I telephoned the police and they made inquiries and said that as it had a valid tax disc nothing could be done.

That car was there for three weeks and only received two tickets during that time.

I guess somebody had gone on holiday and this was cheaper than the airport charges.
