A GROUP of cyclists joined thousands of riders across the country last Saturday to raise funds for historic churches and chapels.
The cyclists, mainly from Marlow All Saints Church, took part in a sponsored cycle ride for the Buckinghamshire Historic Churches Trust.
They cycled to ten churches in total around Marlow, including All Saints Bisham, which were selected from a local list.
Meanwhile, rides were also taking place across the country over the weekend on behalf of other local church trusts. Of the cash raised, half will go towards a church of their choice, and half towards the trust itself.
It is being put towards renovating local churches.
Elizabeth Masser, churchwarden of All Saints, said: "We've raised several hundred pounds. We received a lovely welcome from Little Marlow Church, who were open for the day. They gave us tea and things."
