SECOND WHIST DRIVE of the month is due to take place in the Village Hall on Wednesday evening. Play starts at 7.30pm in the upstairs room and new players would be most welcome. The whist drives are held twice a month during the autumn and winter months so there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy an evening out.

THE PARISH CLERK has received a letter from Mary Hilder, Estate Secretary for West Wycombe Park.

The letter offers an apology for the disturbance from the recent wedding reception that kept several residents up all night.

It also promises that next weekend's wedding on October 1 will be a much lower-key affair with a small fireworks display which is scheduled to end by 10.45pm, with the event finished by midnight.

Residents hope they will stick to their word. A copy of the letter is on the parish noticeboard if you want to read the full text.

YOGA FOR HEALTH takes place with Pam on Wednesday lunchtimes from 12.45pm until 2.45pm in the Village Hall.

This form of exercise is suitable for most people and is timed if you have children to collect from school or need to fit around other weekday activities.

If you would like more information on these classes then call Pam on 01494 524536.
