WHAT is positive parking? Shouldn't it be alternative parking before traffic wardens start booking 20-30 cars parked on the grass verges opposite Amersham Hospital.

Why not widen the road by taking away the grass verges and put parking meters along it if the council is so aggrieved that we are not paying to park while going for treatment or visiting the sick in the hospital? It isn't as though we are parking to go anywhere else as there is only the hospital in the vicinity. If we could get in the car park we are willing to pay but there are not enough spaces for the disabled as it is.

Where are the 20-30 cars that park illegally going to go?

The only place to go is Amersham town centre and use the shoppers' parking spaces and then hope to get to the hospital in time for their appointment. That's if they are able to walk for 15-20 minutes. This is a case of bureaucracy over common sense.
