AN 11-year-old boy had to fight off a man who tried to drag him into a car in the second attempted abduction of children in two months.
The boy was grabbed by a man who pulled up in a dark-coloured estate as he walked down Brays Lane, in Hyde Heath, on Thursday, November 24.
The terrifying attack, which happened at 5.30pm, follows an almost identical grab attempt last month in nearby Great Missenden when a 12-year-old girl fought off a man in a car as she walked down Whitefield Lane.
Police have not confirmed if they are linking the two incidents.
Anthony Carus, 33, an estate agent from Nairdwood Lane, Great Missenden, said he received a letter from his daughter's school this week warning them of the latest incident in Hyde Heath.
He said: "It worries me as a parent that this has happened again not far away.
"I think people should be aware this has happened."
Julie Moulsdale, headteacher at Hyde Heath Infants School in Weedon Hill, said the school had spoken to parents and children about the attempted assault.
She said: "We are a very close community and everyone has pulled together. Parents were very concerned and we made sure no one is walking home alone."
Police are looking for an Asian man, around 28-years-old, 5ft 10ins and of heavy build. He has dark hair and was wearing a leather jacket.
DC David Brandon said: "This was a frightening incident with has left the young victim shaken and distressed."
These attacks come after two further incidents to hit the Chilterns area within the last four months.
A 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted outside the Bat and Ball pub in Penfold Lane, Holmer Green, in August, and in September the Free Press reported on an attempted abduction in the same village, when a man tried to grab a ten-year-old.
Anyone with information on the incident or who recognises the description of the man should contact police on 0845 8 505 505, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
