OWNERS of a talking parrot were knocked off their perch after burglars stole their beloved pet from her cage.
Shady, a three-year-old Congo African Grey parrot, was stolen on Thursday last week from her cosy cage in Rowan Avenue, High Wycombe.
Three-year-old Shady can speak and make telephone ringing noises, but at a value of around £400 she did not go cheap.
She has a grey body and red tail, and was the only thing taken during the break-in which happened between 7.30am and 12.30am.
African Grey parrots are known to be very intelligent and talkative.
They often repeat voices very accurately.
Anyone with information about the burglary or where Shady could be hidden is urged to contact PC Paul Jervis on 08458 505505, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111
