A ROBBER in his 50s held up a Bourne End betting shop at gunpoint on Wednesday night, escaping with thousands of pounds in cash.
The man, wearing sunglasses and a blue baseball cap, walked into the Ladbrokes bookmakers at the Parade between 6.15pm and 6.30pm.
He pulled out a handgun at pointed it at the two shocked members of staff behind the counter. He shouted at them to hand over cash and threatened to shoot them, and took the whole day's takings believed to be around £2,700.
The man is white, of thin build and 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing a dark jacket as well as the sunglasses and hat, and was caught on the store's CCTV cameras.
Witnesses are urged to contact police on 08458 505 505
