A STOKENCHURCH cop will be gearing up to wear a different kind of helmet when he mounts his new bike to pound the beat.
PC Dave West will be donning his crash helmet and bicycle clips as he uses pedal power to get around the country lanes of Stokenchurch.
PC West was given the bike by Stokenchurch Parish Council and car recovery company On Time.
He said: "It's easier to get round the lanes than by car, and it's quieter. And it's quicker than on foot."
