PUPILS at Great Kimble Church of England School learnt the fine art of paper making during a science class last week.

Becky Lockwood, waste education officer for Wycombe District Council popped in to give them the low down on recycling. She said: "These guys are very clued up on recycling. It is a very green school."

Miss Lockwood has been working with the 42 members of the school for several terms.

She added: "They recycle their paper and compost their waste fruit and card too.

"This time we have been making paper and the children absolutely love it. It's a nice hands-on activity. We have been making flower prints and decorating the paper with coloured glitter for them to use as writing paper but most of them want to hang them on the wall and frame them at home because they are so pretty."

Great Kimble School became involved with recycling after a visit from Cycler the rapping robot a few years ago. They now recycle as an ongoing part of the Re-think Rubbish at School programme.
