DOWNLEY Common Preservation Society is calling on villagers to help them name their new tractor.
The big red vehicle was unveiled on Sunday ahead of the annual Downley walk to mark out the boundaries of the common.
It was bought after donations by society members and the Chiltern Conservation Board and will be used to regularly mow the common and keep back the woodland.
Now members of the society are looking for ideas for a name for the tractor, which will be announced at Downley Day on Saturday, June 17.
Suggestions should be written on a leaflet available from Downley Library at the Old School Community Centre in School Lane.
Andy Bass, from the Downley Common Preservation Society, said: "It would be great to get some good ideas from people in the village. We want to make this a community exercise."
