PRINCES Risborough town councillors are seeking another meeting with Buckinghamshire County Council regarding the lay out of the one way system.

Town councillors met representatives from BCC to discuss suitable adjustments to the one way system running from Duke Street Roundabout to the High Street.

Since the meeting BCC considered various options but decided any changes should wait until a video survey is carried out in the summer and objective data can be obtained.

County officers said the suggestion for a filtering system to be implemented at the top of the High Street would cost £30,000 and the cost of making the bus stop more defined an extra £2,000.

There would also be an added cost for extra parking bays on Duke Street.

Regarding the issues of the cycle lane flowing in a different direction to the traffic BCC said there has so far been no report of an incident relating to this.

The town council is working in partnership with BCC on the 18 month trial period of the system which costs £60,000. The Town Council are paying for the one way system out of the precept.

Town councillors are now seeking another meeting to discuss further options.
