CCTV footage of two people police want to identify after a bike was stolen from Chalfont and Latimer Tube station has been released.

A man's mountain bike, which had been locked up, was taken from the racks on platform one at around 4.40pm on Monday April 19.

A second theft took place at Chorleywood Tube station shortly afterwards, when an electric tricycle worth more than £2,500 was stolen.

British Transport Police, which is investigating, believes the thefts are linked.

The CCTV images of a man and woman police wish to identify were released today.

Investigating officer PC Malcolm Yamamasu of British Transport Police said: “We are hoping to identify the pair in the images in connection with the thefts, which we are treating as linked.

“One of the bikes in particular is worth a lot of money and I am determined to return both of them to their rightful owners.”
