A MAN was grabbed, thrown to the ground and repeatedly kicked by thieves who stole his wallet and mobile phone.

The 20-year-old man was attacked around 3.55am on Sunday, as he was walking home from work through the All Saints Parish Church yard in Castle Street.

The culprits are all described as being of Asian appearance.

One was of Asian/oriental appearance, aged between 16 and 19 years, approximately 6ft, of athletic build, with short spiked gelled hair.

He was wearing a light coloured Nike hooded jacket with a logo on the left of his chest and baggy bottoms.

The second offender was also 16 to 19-years-old, 5ft 10ins, average build, with dark short hair and a fringe.

He had a moustache and was wearing a baggy dark blue Adidas jacket and dark jeans.

The other two men were of a similar age and wearing dark clothing.

There were two women with the offenders who did not take part in the robbery.

One is described as white, slim, with blonde hair and approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall.
