LAST Friday – St George’s Day – I put my flag with pride on my car. After three miles I stopped and checked my diary that I really had the right day, as I had not seen another flag. Yes, the day was right. I stopped at my golf club, where two people asked me: “What football match is on today?”
I went down to High Wycombe, and in all, did about ten miles, and only saw one other flag!
Why have we this lack of patriotism?
Why are we not proud to be called English?
I will try again next year, and hope you will join me.
Mrs Carole Logan, Rookery Court, Marlow.
