THE showing of the BBC's Love In A Cold Climate stirred up some interesting memories for Pam Goodwin.
Mrs Goodwin remembered the famous Mitford family, especially Nancy Mitford, who originally wrote Love In A Cold Climate.
The family lived in High Wycombe during the Second World War.
They occupied Bassetsbury Old Mill House and Mrs Goodwin, of Princes Risborough, can remember the time well.
She said: "I could tell you tales about them that would make your toes curl, but nobody ever would because they were aristocracy.
"We knew their housekeepers who lived in Lime Avenue and they were really lovely, very rural."
Mrs Goodwin says that fact that the Mitfords used to live in the area for a time is not very well documented and is rarely mentioned, but she would like to know more.
"I don't know why the family resided at the old mill," explained Mrs Goodwin. "I don't know what the connection is, but there must be some others out there who can remember when the family were in Wycombe."
