A ROAMING cow caused a stir among shoppers in Wooburn Green this afternoon.
The road savvy brown cow walked across The Green at about 12.30pm before trotting over the zebra crossing and up Wycombe Lane, said onlookers.
Kim Mitcham, 34, from the Cutting Edge hairdressers salon, said: "I was stood there cutting hair and just said 'there's a cow on the green'.
"We couldn't stop laughing when it went straight over the zebra crossing."
Carl Quarterman, landlord at the Queen and Albert pub, said the cow was not being led by anyone.
Police said they did not attend but someone had managed to secure the cow in a field near Holtspur Avenue by about 1.15pm.
