A RAFT of speed limit cuts are set to come to south Buckinghamshire as part of a safety drive.

The High Wycombe area, Beaconsfield and Amersham are affected in the latest round of reductions by Buckinghamshire County Council.

Of the 16 roads considered, 12 will fall, three will be kept the same and one will increase.

* A4128 Wycombe Road, Prestwood - 40mph to 30mph.

* Hyde Heath Road, Hyde Heath - national speed limit to 30mph.

* Weedon Hill/Copperkins Lane, Little Missenden/Amersham - retain national speed limit (40mph was recommended).

* Copperkins Lane, Amersham - 40mph to 30mph.

* Spurlands End Road, Great Kingshill - 40mph to 30mph.

* Rectory Hill, Amersham - national speed limit to 40mph.

* A4128 Missenden Road, Cryers Hill - 40mph to 30mph.

* Sheepcote Dell Road, Holmer Green - national speed limit to 50mph.

* Woodrow - national speed limit to 30mph.

* A355 London Road West/A413 London Road East, Amersham - 30mph to 40mph.

* A4128 Cryers Hill Road, Cryers Hill - 50mph to 30mph.

* New Road, Penn Street - national speed limit to 40mph.

* Whielden Lane, Winchmore Hill - 50mph to 30mph.

* Wheeler Estate, Tylers Green - 30mph.

* B474 Penn Road, Knotty Green/Beaconsfield - retain 40mph (lowering to 30mph was proposed).

* A416 Amersham Road, Chesham Bois - retain 30mph (raising to 40mph was proposed).

The final decision will be made by Councillor Valerie Letheren, cabinet member for transportion.
