SHAMSTOCK, the annual music event organised by Amersham & Wycombe College students, gets underway this Saturday, 26th June at the Nags Head Public House in High Wycombe.

20 BTEC National Diploma Music Technology students have organised, promoted and sold tickets for this charity event in aid of Cancer Research UK, as part of their studies.

“It’s a great challenge for our second year BTEC students, but one which allows them to explore the business side of the music industry,” says music lecturer Chris Bunce.

As always, an eclectic array of live music, from Blues to Metal, from Folk to Rock, featuring over 20 bands picked from a plethora of local talent, and established acts from further a field, will take to the stage throughout the 11 hour long festival, which opens at 3pm on Saturday and finishes at 2am on Sunday morning.
