FIVE play areas are to be replaced in the High Wycombe and Marlow area.
Wycombe District Council is to spend £200,000 on the following: • Chairborough play area, High Wycombe – new BMX and play area with £220,000 of Government cash.
• Mount Close teen area - £50,000 to develop a ‘multi-use games area’.
• Desborough recreation teen area - £55,000.
• Higginson – improvements to the skate park and shelter, £20,000.
• Booker recreation ground – under eights play area, £70,000.
Final approval will be needed for the Booker project. The other schemes were approved by the council’s cabinet last week.
