Wasn't the England game thrilling today?

Today I took a late lunch and listened into the action on my trusty wireless set while walking around the town centre.

I even caught glimpses of the action while passing by some of the towns television shops.

There was a really good atmosphere in the town indeed I even saw several people draped in England flags as I strolled around searching for somewhere to sit and listen to the main part of the match.

I thought the team played really well and our win was well deserved indeed the fluency of play was far better than in our previous matches and we could have scored more goals if luck had been on our side.

Having a referee who appeared to make sensible decisions was good too not to mention having a safe pair of hands in goal.

Despite all the worrying and panic about our performance we managed to come second in our group which just shows how good our team is.

It must be awful for the players being under such terrible pressure especially when they are written off as a team and criticised simply because they take a while to get going.

Deep down I had complete confidence in the whole team and manager and never doubted them for a moment!

Quite honestly I am pleased that we came second in the group.

If we had come first in group we would have played on Saturday and no doubt the beer houses of the town would have made great profit from selling beer to the fans on Saturday and inflicting the misery of alcohol on them in return.

At least our next game will be on Sunday so the flow of alcohol in Wycombe should be reduced.

Let's hope we get on well in our next game.

If we carry on playing as we are surely we can go all the way and win the World Cup?

What do you think?
