ON Monday June 7th about 8.20am my 53-year-old daughter was cycling toward Beaconsfield when a car turned into Wattleton Road and knocked her off her bike.

The car did not stop, but my daughter said it was a red car and that the driver had long hair, but all my daughter could think while lying in the road was that the car was not stopping.

Fortunately the car behind did stop and help came. The police have tried to find the car, but were unable to, with so little to go on. I hope the driver reads this and through your paper comes forward. She is very lucky that my daughter’s crash helmet saved her from even more serious injuries. How very cowardly to just drive on.

Name and address supplied, Beaconsfield.
