Amersham and Wycombe College student Caroline Davis, was presented with the National Top Student Award for her outstanding results in Level 2 Certificate, Book-Keeping this week. Caroline beat 340 students sitting the exam at 40 exam centres across the UK. Furthermore, Amersham & Wycombe College was the Top IAB (International Association of Book-keepers) Centre for Level 2 Certificate in Book-keeping at the January 2010 exam sitting.
“I am delighted and surprised to receive this award,” said Caroline at the presentation. “I knew I had done reasonably well as I covered everything in the exam, but I didn’t expect to do this well. I would especially like to thank my tutor Nilani Suhinthan for guiding me through the course.”
Reflecting on her success, Caroline said: “I knew nothing about book-keeping and therefore the course started at just the right level for me. I liked the style of learning and we covered new subjects every week. I found it very modular, learning step by step. This made it easy to fit in studying while also working, keeping a house and looking after children.”
Ray Wilkinson from the IAB who presented Caroline’s award said: “The IAB likes to recognise success and Caroline should be highly commended for her fantastic achievement.”
