SHOPPERS in Marlow will be able to park for free tomorrow as the second summer scarecrow trail begins.

Straw based mannequins are being displayed in shop windows around Marlow as part of the event which was trialled last year for the first time.

Marlow Chamber of Trade have decided to run it again following its success.

Shoppers win prizes for correctly guessing the names of all the scarecrows based on clues.

More than 20 retailers are involved.

Chamber spokesman Jo Braybrooke said: “We would have liked more retailers to take part but it will be fun.

“It most definitely brought more people into the town last year.

Car parking has been made free on Saturday courtesy of Wycombe District Council.

The chamber has endeavoured to find innovative ways of upping trade during the economic downturn and also ran an April Fool's event.

The trail runs throughout the weekend.
