A MAN was found dead outside the Eden Shopping Centre car park in the early hours of this morning.

Ambulance staff attended the scene at 1.27am but said the man - thought to be about 30-years-old - was already dead.

Police spokesman Pierre du Bois said the body was found by officers on patrol in Lilys Walk at 1.20am.

He said officers believe the man fell from the Eden car park and his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman for Eden said: "Eden Shopping Centre can confirm that police were called to the centre in the early hours of the morning on 30 July 2010 in response to an incident.

"The matter is now in the hands of the emergency services."
