A FEW weeks ago, I met a former Wellesbourne pupiI I had taught in the 70s.
“Mrs Alexander”, he said, “Have you seen Wellesbourne? It’s all houses! And Terriers School. That’s all houses! and the church where I got married, they knocked it down, and that’s houses too! They’re taking away my history!”
He was truly distressed by the changes, and begged me to get back on the council!
As we plan for the future, we must be careful that change is sensitive, and our town that is loved does not disappear completely.
