ARTISTS are being invited to brighten up High Wycombe town centre's iconic Pepperpot building during its on going refurbishment work.
The eighteenth century building is currently covered with scaffolding and surrounded by plywood sheets while Wycombe District Council revamps Little Market House - affectionately known as the Pepperpot.
The High Wycombe Town Centre Partnership is now inviting south Buckinghamshire artists and groups to decorate and liven up the plywood sheets during the construction, which is expected to be completed by December 3.
Artists and groups are being urged to submit their designs celebrating 'the best of High Wycombe', with the winning entrants invited to paint their mural during August.
Work on the first sheet will commence on Friday, August 6, with the other two sheets decorated on the following two Fridays, as part of the High Street High Days.
These community events, in partnership with new market operator Gary Saunders Ltd, will feature 'music and mayhem' and aims to attract people back to the High Street.
Contact the partnership on 01494 452705 or email your design ideas for the Pepperpot sheets to info@hwtcp.co.uk – winning designers will receive a £500 prize.
