A SECURITY guard was assaulted by two men as he delivered cash to a bank in Marlow in a shocking day-light robbery.
The G4S security driver was depositing a cash box to the HSBC bank in Marlow's High Street at about 2.20pm yesterday, when he was assaulted by two men.
The thugs assaulted the driver and stole the cash box before they made off in a silver Vauxhall Corsa down Institute Road in heavy traffic.
The men dumped the car and the emptied cash box at the junction of West Thorpe Road and Newtown Road, where they swapped the Corsa for a silver Ford Focus.
Police said the Corsa had been reported stolen since November.
Det Con Richard Hobson said: “I am particularly keen to talk to anyone who saw the men arrive at the scene, or who saw the robbery, or the offenders leave the scene.
"They pulled out into heavy traffic so they wouldn’t have gone unnoticed.”
