POLICE have received complaints about youngsters riding bikes outside Budgens in Flackwell Heath.

Sergeant Andrew Deane says this is mainly due to the large paved area and lighting at the location.

The village already has a BMX/skate board area at the local park, but this does not have any lighting.

Chepping Wycombe Parish Council has been asked if lighting can be supplied at the skate park, which may stop the local young people gathering outside Budgens.

Sergeant Deane said the lighting could be installed on a timer and turned off at a suitable hour.

Meanwhile, a device positioned on Blind Lane in Flackwell Heath during a rush hour recently suggested there is a speeding problem on the road.

The speed indication device, pointing towards Green Dragon Lane, was deployed by police on the junction with Little Close, within the 30 mph section.

On February 24, between 8 and 8.30am, 54 vehicles passed the device at an average speed of 33 mph.
