PRINCES Risborough Town Council has been awarded Quality Status after ticking all the boxes.
At its monthly meeting on Tuesday night Richard Pushman, in his role as vice president of Buckinghamshire Association of Local Councils, handed the certificate to town council chairman, Alan Turner.
To achieve quality status parish and town councils must reach a certain standard in several tests including accounts, training, the qualifications of the clerk and electoral mandate.
Cllr Turner said:”I would like to say thank you to everyone who has worked towards this over all these years with a very special thank you to the clerk.”
Cllr Pushman said it was with great pleasure he presented the certificate which recognised the efforts and work of the council.
