A man charged with the attempted murder of a police officer in Aylesbury will appear in court today. 

On-duty Thames Valley police constable John Gavin, 30, was taken to hospital with head injuries after being involved in a hit-and-run in Market Square, Aylesbury, on February 13.

Corey Allard, 20, of no fixed address, is also accused of dangerous driving, driving without a licence or insurance as well as two other unrelated counts of wounding with intent.

He will appear at Aylesbury Crown Court today, alongside two men from High Wycombe, in connection with the incident. 

George Michael Green, 23, of no fixed abode, was charged with one count of aggravated vehicle taking, one count of assisting an offender, and one count of possession of cannabis.

Omar Trent Burke, aged 25, of no fixed abode - also from High Wycombe - was charged with one count aggravated vehicle taking, one count of assisting an offender, and one count of possession of cannabis.
