A BURGLARY victim who woke to the sound of someone in her house thought it was her husband - but it was burglars looking for the keys to two cars parked outside.

The incident happened at Thanstead Copse, Loudwater, at about 12.20am on Monday. The following morning the woman who is in her 50s realised the two cars had been stolen.

The burglars had got in through a rear door. Once inside they stole cash and a number of personal items, as well as the car keys.

The stolen cars are a silver Mercedes A180 (registration starting WG1) and a silvery blue Mercedes C200 AMG Premium (registration starting RX6).

Designated Officer, Glen Mulhern, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“I am particularly interested in speaking to anyone who has dash-cam footage from the area at this time that may show the stolen vehicles.

“If anyone saw cars matching this description around the time of the offence, or has any information about what happened, please get in touch.
