I am very upset that my important blood test has been cancelled by my local GP Surgery.
Of course, this is not the fault of the surgery at all. There is, we are told a shortage of vials i.e. test tubes to use in the execution of these tests.
Having looked into this I gather there are two main reasons for this problem.
Firstly because of Brexit we do not have sufficient lorries to transport these items.
Sadly, the pig-headed Tory government are refusing visas for European lorry drivers to come and work here as they would normally have done in the past.
Secondly, there has been a decision by the government to agree a broadly sole supplier for this equipment and the supplier has let us down.
This raises the major question of why we ever relied on a sole supplier for such vital equipment.
I feel badly let down as many others in Buckinghamshire are.
