ROWERS from Marlow will be part of one of the largest ever flotillas ever to assemble on the River Thames for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant today.
More than 1,000 boats will muster for the celebration.
The foundation squad at Marlow Rowing Club is crewing two boats, owned by Paul and Marilyn Sermon.
They will be close to the front of the pageant by the Royal Jubilee Bells and Gloriana, which is rowed by Royal Watermen and Sir Steve Redgrave.
Paul, Alexa Spicer, David Plaskitt and Stephanie Buckeridge will crew Hiawatha - a 19ft long sleek double scull that has the appearance of a Canadian canoe.
Bill Richards, who coaches the squad, Simon Wright, Oliver Abadeer, John Last, Josie Jacobs and Carlos Miguens will crew Jack Charlton - a 16ft long clinker double-sculled North East coble.
Paul and Marilyn said they were delighted their entry will generate £1,000 for fire hit Marlow Rowing Club.
Traditional boat builder Trevor Green of Littlewick Green has helped prepare the two boats.
