A SCHOOL in Amersham is celebrating a national title this week after returning from the prestigious K2 pool in Crawley with relay gold.
Heatherton House qualified for the Year 5/6 200m relay as top seeds and lived up to their billing with victory in a time just four seconds outside the school record.
Captain Amelie Brown said: “It was very nerve-wracking waiting for my turn to swim but when we won we were all so excited – it’s absolutely amazing.
“I’ll never forget standing on the winners’ podium – it was a wonderful moment.”
Heatherton will now compete in the Primary School Championships in June.
