PETER Murphy has missed out on the League Two player of the month award for August.
He made it onto the four man shortlist after notching three goals in five League Two matches from midfield.
But the gong went to AFC Wimbledon striker Matt Tubbs, who netted five in six games for his new club.
The award's other nominees were Cheltenham Town goalkeeper Trevor Carson and veteran Morecambe striker Kevin Ellison - whose boss Jim Bentley won the manager of the month award after winning his first four matches of the campaign.
