WASPS A backed up the first team with a narrow victory over London Irish last night thanks to a virtuoso performance from fly half Alex Lozowksi.
They won 40-36 at Henley after surviving a late fightback.
Lozowski kicked them into a 6-0 lead and then fed the scoring pass for Tom Bliss to go over for the opening try.
Lozowski's pass then sent Johah Holmes over to make it 18-0 after 25 minutes.
Irish hit back with a try of their own before Josh Bassett added Wasps' third try, and their fourth came from the set piece when flanker Thomas Young was driven over from a line out.
That made it 28-7 at the break Piers O’Connor scored twice after the interval, but it was Irish who finished the stronger as they rallied from 34-14 to 35-31 to ensure a dramatic finish, when Wasps were down to 14 men after Tom West had been sin-binned.
