CARS hooted their horns and delighted fans waved Wanderers's scarves out of the windows as thousands made their way home from Adams Park after seeing the greatest game in their team's history.
While more than three thousand lucky fans, who had tickets, made their way to Leicester for the quarter-final cup clash, those left behind were determined to enjoy the big day just as much themselves.
There were 3086 Blues fans at Adams Park to watch the match on the big screen put up for the occasion.
At Filbert Street, the Wycombe fans made their voices heard loud and clear. At Adams Park too the noise was deafening as the fans shared every triumph and agony experienced by their team.
Kate Cooper, a steward at Adams Park, who had her face all painted blue for the day, said: "My husband has got along in my scarf and t-shirt but I'm bloody well here."
Robert Clark, 22, of High Wycombe, said: "Let's go all the way now, this even tops the Wimbledon game.
"It's the best I've ever felt, I've been a fan since I was12 years old."
Julie Busby, from Princes Risborough, had gone with her dad and her daughter to Adams Park.
She said: "My throat is so sore. I'm ecstatic. It's as good as being there."
