Tyrrell Hatton made the cut at the USPGA in Baltusrol yesterday as he came tied for 34th after two rounds at the Springfield event.
The Marlow golfer is hoping to better the 25th place finish he secured at his only previous USPGA appearance at Whistling Straights last year.
After finishing his first round on +1 the Harleyford Golf club member recovered well to come in -1 after his second round yesterday.
He didn’t drop a single shot throughout the round to move up 21 places on the overall leader board.
Hatton is still someway off the overall leaders with Jimmy Walker and fellow American Robert Streb being tied for top spot on -9.
He starts his third round at 11.45am local time today and is partnered with South Korean Young-han Song.
